Linguini Ala Foresta Recipe

Ingredients

  • 500 grams Linguini pasta
  • 250 grams diced prosciutto (italian bacon)
  • 2 tbsp extra-virgin olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, peeled and thinly sliced
  • 1 medium white onion, minced
  • 1 can crushed tomatoes
  • 1/2 cup black pitted olives, sliced
  • 1 tsp dried basil (or 1 tbsp fresh basil)
  • 1 tsp capers in vinegar (optional)
  • dash of ground pepper
  • dash of salt
  • 1/2 cup freshly grated parmiggiano-reggiano
  • *Subsitute linguini with spaghetti pasta
