- 500 grams Linguini pasta
- 250 grams diced prosciutto (italian bacon)
- 2 tbsp extra-virgin olive oil
- 3 cloves garlic, peeled and thinly sliced
- 1 medium white onion, minced
- 1 can crushed tomatoes
- 1/2 cup black pitted olives, sliced
- 1 tsp dried basil (or 1 tbsp fresh basil)
- 1 tsp capers in vinegar (optional)
- dash of ground pepper
- dash of salt
- 1/2 cup freshly grated parmiggiano-reggiano
- *Subsitute linguini with spaghetti pasta
