Texacan Layered Salad Recipe

Ingredients

  • 6 cups chopped romaine lettuce
  • 1-1/2 cups red, green, orange or yellow bell peppers or a combo of different colors
  • 14 oz. can pitted black olives, drained, sliced in half
  • 3 roma tomatoes, seeded and chopped
  • 3 cups shredded cabbage (I use coleslaw mix)
  • 2 avocados, peeled, cut in ½” cubes and sprinkled thoroughly with
  • lime juice
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1/3 cup salsa
  • ½ teas. chili powder
  • 1-1/2 cups mexican cheese blend
  • 1-1/2 cups slightly crunched tortilla chips
