General Lee Chicken - Authentic Crispy Bourbon Chicken Recipe

Ingredients

  • 4 lbs. of chicken breast
  • Some type of deep-frying apparatus
  • ---BATTER---
  • 2 cups of plain flour
  • 1 egg
  • About 1 bottle of pilsner
  • 2 tbls. of Tony Chachere’sâ„¢ creole seasoning
  • ---SAUCE----
  • 1 quart of rich chicken stock
  • 2 cups of fresh orange juice
  • 1 vidalia onion
  • 1 cup of bourbon
  • 2 bay leaves
  • 6 cloves of garlic
  • ¾ cup of the FINEST smokey flavoured BB’Q sauce (store bought)
  • 3 tbls or honey
  • 4 tbls. of butter
