Ingredients
- 2 sticks (1 cup) butter
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 3/4 cup firmly packed brown sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 3 cups flour (I used 2 of white, 1 of whole wheat)
- 1 teaspoon salt (skipped it - tasted great anyway)
- 1 1/2 teaspoons baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
- 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 2 teaspoons ground allspice or spicebush berries (another indigenous ingredient)
- 3 cups pawpaw pulp
- 1/4 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice
- 3/4 cup chopped walnuts
- 1/2 cup sunflower seeds
- 1 cup raisins
