Ingredients
- 2 cups old fashioned oats ( not quick or steel cut )
- 1 cup yogurt ( opt for the thick Greek variety ) soy yogurt if you want dairy free
- 1 cup milk: dairy or non dairy ( almond milk, coconut milk, vanilla soy, skim etc )
- 1 tsp almond extract or to taste
- 1 tsp vanilla extract or to taste
- shake of cinnamon
- 2 Tbs liquid sweetener ( honey, sugar free syrup, maple syrup )
- Toppings: ( optional but nice )
- crushed nuts, fresh berries, chopped fresh fruit, dried fruit, raisins, dollop of fruit preserve, creme fraiche , more cinnamon, dash nutmeg or whatever you want
