Ingredients
- For the cake:
- 2/3 cup all-purpose flour
- 3/4 tsp baking powder
- pinch of salt
- 4 large eggs
- 2/3 cup sugar
- 1 tsp pure vanilla extract
- 2 Tbls unsalted butter, melted and cooled
- For the syrup:
- 1/3 cup water
- 3 Tbls sugar
- 1 Tbls kirsch, Chambord, framboise, or raspberry syrup (I used 2 tsp. raspberry extract)
- For the filling:
- 6 oz cream cheese, at room temperature
- 1/2 cup + 2/3 cup heavy cream
- 1 Tbls sugar (I added an extra Tbls)
- 1 1/2 tsps pure vanilla extract (I added an extra 1/2 tsp)
- For the topping:
- 1 cup cold heavy cream
- 3 Tbls confectioners sugar, sifted
- 1 tsp pure vanilla extract
- 1-1 1/2 pints fresh raspberries, for filling and topping
