Fried Spareribs With Potato Batter Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 pound spareribs (beef, pork or lamb), cut into 1-inch long pieces
  • 1 tsp ground cardamom
  • 1 one-inch piece cinnamon, crushed
  • 12 whole black peppercorns, crushed
  • 2 onions, finely chopped
  • 6 cloves garlic, peeled and finely minced
  • 1 cup water
  • 4 large potatoes
  • Pinch salt
  • 1 tsp cayenne
  • 1 tsp ground cumin
  • 1 tsp ground coriander
  • 1 tsp ground turmeric
  • 2 green chilies, finely minced
  • 1/2 cup cilantro or mint leaves
  • 4 eggs
  • salt to taste
  • 1 cup bread crumbs
  • 4 cups vegetable or olive oil
