- 4 pounds oxtails or beef short ribs

- 1/4 cup vegetable oil
- 3 large garlic cloves, chopped
- 2 tablespoons crushed red pepper
- 1 1/2 teaspoons sesame seeds
- 1/2 teaspoon Asian sesame oil
- Kosher salt
