    • 1 1/2 pounds fresh Bing cherries, stemmed, pitted, halved
    • 1/4 cup sugar
    • 1 tablespoon kirsch (clear cherry brandy)
    • 1/3 cup cherry jam

    Topping
    • 1 1/2 cups chilled whipping cream
    • 2 tablespoons sugar
    • 1 tablespoon kirsch
