Tomato & Garbanzo Stew

Ingredients

  • 4 strips Bacon, real, fake, turkey, whatever, as long as it's crunchy and salty
  • 2 tablespoons Olive Oil, for sauteing
  • 2 medium Onion, chopped
  • 4 cloves Garlic
  • 1 tablespoon Ground Cumin
  • 14 teaspoon Cayenne Pepper, or to taste; 1/4 tsp makes for a pretty mild stew
  • 2 cans Diced Tomatoes, two small cans or one big one.
  • 2 cans Canned Garbanzos (Chickpeas)
  • 1 Lemon Rind, finely chopped
  • 14 cup Plain Yogurt

Modified From A Recipe I Found Years Ago. I Don't Remember The Original Source. It Has Lots Of Different Tastes Mingled Together, But It's Easy To Make. Delicious With Cornbread, Or Over Rice.<br /><br />I Make A Few Pots Of This Every October
