School Fuel

Ingredients

3/4 c. packed brown sugar 6 TBSP margarine or butter (do not use spread or tub products) 3 TBSP light corn syrup 1/4 tsp baking soda 4 c. Corn Chex 4 c. Rice Chex 1/4 C. semisweet chocolate chips Cover cookie sheet with waxed paper. Microwave brown sugar, margarine and corn syrup until margarine is melted. Stir in baking soda until dissolved. Stir in cereals, microwave on high 3 minutes, stirring every minute. Spread on cookie sheet. Cool 10 minutes break into bite size pieces. Microwave chocolate chips in small microwaveable bowl on high until chocolate can be stirred smooth. Drizzle chocolate over snack, refrigerate until chocolate is set. Store in airtight container. Can also add 1 C. broken pretzels and/or 1/2 c. honey roasted peanuts
