Pink Adobe Apple Pie

Ingredients

5-6 firm apples peeled and cut into chunks1/2 tsp EACH nutmeg, cloves, cinnamon, allspice 1/4 tsp chili powder1/2 to 1 cup raisins (this is dependent on taste)1 tsp flour2/3 cup packed brown sugar3 tsp butter cut into cubes1/2 tsp lemon juicecrust for a two crust pie Mix together all except for lemon butter, raisins and apples. Mix together lemon juice, apples and rasins and then combine with apples place in rolled crust and cover with second crust. Bake for 45-50 minutes at 350F. For the heck of it I use a tiny cookie cutter and cut out shapes in the top of the crust and then brush the crust with water and sprinkle on sugar before I bake my pie it makes it sparkle! Pie crust tips - make sure everything is COLD before assembling the crust. I keep my flour in the freezer anyway and I make sure the shortening (I use crisco) and water are ice cold. I chill the bowl, pasrty blender rolling pin and dough board (the tupperware one) ALSO when working with the dough I only pull out one half of the dough at a time to keep it cold. Then put it in the pie pan and then put it back in the fridge and work the other half
