- 2 lightly salted matzohs, broken into quarters
- 4 large eggs, separated
- 3/4 cup golden raisins
- 3/4 cup chopped toasted pecans or almonds
- 1 1/2 teaspoons grated lemon peel
- 1 1/2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon, plus extra for sprinkling
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter or pareve margarine, melted
