Ingredients

  • ½ pound sliced hickory-smoked bacon
  • 6 tablespoons (¾ stick) butter
  • ¼ cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 medium onion, finely chopped
  • 1½ cups whole corn kernels, fresh or frozen and thawed
  • 3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups milk, heated
  • 6 large eggs
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
  • Cayenne pepper to taste
