Ingredients

Mad Men is one of the best shows on TV, so when you're getting ready to watch the season premiere or having a Mad Men-themed party you will definitely need a great appetizer to serve your guests! This mashed potato recipe is super easy, just combine a few ingredients and serve in a martini glass for additional flare!

4 medium sized russet potatoes
3 garlic cloves minced
1/4 stick of butter
1/4 cup of milk
Salt and pepper
1/2 of shredded Monterrey jack cheese
1/4 cup of bacon bits

Directions

Wash potatoes really well and cut into cubes (yes, I leave my skin on, it’s so much tastier and easier). Bring a large stock pot of water to boil and cook potatoes in water until tender (about 15 minutes of boiling).

Drain water from potatoes and add garlic cloves, butter, milk and lots of salt and pepper. As for seasoning you’ve got to feel this one out, keep tasting your potatoes as you whip them and add more salt and pepper until it tastes good.

I use an electric mixer to get them whipped into shape. Once you’ve mashed them into submission stir in cheese and bacon bits... Because these are loaded you could add sour cream, onions, really anything your heart desires!

Spoon mashed potatoes into martini glasses and garnish with a stuffed olive skewered on a toothpick. For signage google image the Mad Men logo and create a custom sign to pull it all together!!

Helpful Hint: If you’re strapped for time, by store bought mashed potatoes and jazz them up with the bacon and cheese... As long as they look good in their martini glass no one will be the wise!
