Best Colcannon

Ingredients

  • 450g potatoes, peeled and cut into chunks
  • 350g cabbage, finely chopped
  • 2 large leeks (white and pale green parts only), sliced into 5mm rounds
  • 250ml milk
  • 2 tablespoons caraway seeds
  • 1/2 teaspoon anise seeds
  • 50g butter
  • salt and pepper to taste

Description

A Traditional Irish Dish Made From Mashed Potatoes, Chopped Cabbage And Leeks, Seasoned With Caraway Seeds And Anise Seeds. Leftovers Can Be Revived By Adding Meat To The Dish.
