Cobb Salad

Ingredients

  • 1 head Boston lettuce, washed and torn into 1-inch pieces
  • 1 head Romaine lettuce, washed and torn into 1-inch pieces
  • 1 bunch watercress, trimmed and washed
  • 1 1 Belgian endive, washed and cut into 1-inch pieces
  • 2 2 small ripe tomatoes, washed, cored and cut into ½ inch cubes
  • 8 ounces cooked chicken, boned and shredded (230 g)
  • 6x1 ounce slices of bacon, cooked until crisp (170 g)
  • 2 2 ripe avocados, peeled and sliced just before serving
  • 4 large hard boiled eggs, peeled and halved
  • 1/2 pound Roquefort cheese (225 g)
  • 1/4 cup cider vinegar (60 ml)
  • 1 clove garlic, peeled and finely chopped
  • 3/4 cup olive oil (175 ml)
  • Fresh chives, cut on a diagonal into 1 inch/2 cm lengths
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
