Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 lbs ground beef
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced(to taste)
  • 2 bay leaves
  • 1 teaspoon oregano
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • 1 teaspoon italian seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon salt(, or to taste)
  • ground pepper
  • 1 (6 ounce) cans tomato paste
  • 2 (16 ounce) cans tomato sauce
  • 1 (28 ounce) cans diced tomatoes
  • 8 ounces fresh mushrooms, sliced and sauteed in butter
  • parmesan cheese, freshly grated
