Honey-roasted Pears With Caramel Sauce

Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 3/4 cup cold water
  • 2 tablespoons packed brown sugar

  • 2 very small ripe Anjou, Bosc, or Bartlett pears, peeled
  • 1/4 cup whipping cream
  • Pomegranate seeds or fresh fruit and mint sprigs (optional)
