Beef Lasagna Supreme
8 oz Lasagna noodles
Sea salt to taste
Meat Sauce:
4 tablespoons (1/4 cup) olive oil
1 cup chopped onion
6 cloves of minced garlic
1 teaspoon minced ginger
1/4 lb bacon (or pancetta), cut up
1 1/2 lbs raw beef, minced (chopped)
OR you may decrease the beef to 1/2 lb., and add 1/2 lb minced (chopped) pork plus 1/2 lb hot Italian sausage (crumbled)
1/2 teaspoon of cayenne pepper (use paprika is you want it mild)
Sea salt, to taste
1 large can (28 oz.) crushed Italian tomatoes
1 glass of white wine
1 cup of beef broth (or vegetable stock)
2 teaspoons dried oregano
1/2 cup chopped parsley
1/2 cup chopped basil
2 teaspoons sugar
Bechamel Cheese Sauce:
2 tablespoons of butter
1 small onion, chopped
2 teaspoons all-purpose flour
5 cups whole milk
1/2 cup chopped parsley
1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
1 cup shredded Edam cheese
Sea salt to taste
1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
1 cup shredded Edam cheese
Garnish:
1/4 lb bacon (or pancetta), chopped and cooked
2 large tomatoes, sliced
2 hard cooked eggs
Grated parmesan cheese
