Spicy Deep Dish Peach Pie
The Pastry: Make up half the recipe for pie crust adding.
1/4 teaspoon each nutmeg, cinnamon
and allspice to the flour.
The Filling: 1 can (1 lb. 13 oz.) cling peach slices or 4 cups fresh or frozen peach slices
1/2 cup sugar (3/4 cup for fresh peaches)
1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
2 tablespoons cornstarch
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon grated orange rind
1 tablespoon lemon juice
2 tablespoons butter or margarine
