  • 2 cups buttermilk
  • 1 teaspoon hot pepper sauce
  • 8 whole U.S. Farm-Raised catfish or large U.S. Farm-Raised catfish fillets
  • Peanut or vegetable oil for deep frying
  • Salt, to taste
