Ingredients
- 1 (15 oz) ricotta cheese
1 lb. ground beef, browned and drained
1 T parsley
1 1/2 tsp salt
1 egg
10 oz frozen spinach, cooked
1/3 c grated parmesand
26 oz jar spaghetti sauce (or make your own)
12-16 oz whole wheat pasta, ziti or other, cooked
12-16 oz shredded mozzarella cheese
Brown ground beef and drain.
Blend together ricotta cheese, parsley, salt, egg and spinach until smooth. Add parmesan blending to combine.
Spread enough spaghetti sauce in an ungreased 9x13 baking pan to cover the bottom.
Arrange half of the past over the sauce; spread with half of the ricotta mixture; followed by half of the ground beef.
Cover with half of the remaining spaghetti sauce, and sprinkle half the mozzarella cheese on top.
Repeat layers, ending with mozzarella on top.
Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes.
Serves 6-8 people.
