Bean Pie

Ingredients

    Crust: (use your favorite) OR
    pinch of salt
    2 Tablespoons canola oil or olive oil
    1 cup whole wheat pastry flour OR 1/2 cup unbleached white flour plus 1/2 cup whole wheat flour
    1/3 cup water

    Filling:
    3 cups White beans
    2/3 cup sweetner (I used maple syrup)
    2 Tablespoons kuzu (can also use arrowroot or cornstarch)
    2 teaspoon fresh ginger, grated
    1 teaspoon cinnamon
    orange zest, organic OR 1 teaspoon orange extract
    1 1/3 cup milk - (can use regular, coconut, almond, soy, etc.)
    1/2 teaspoon Allspice
