Beef Burgundy

Ingredients

    * Bacon, 4 medium slices, roughly chopped
    * Beef, round steak, 1.5 lb, cut into 1 inch cubes
    * Mushrooms, fresh, 1 small package (8oz), sliced
    * Onions, raw, 1 medium, chopped
    * *Flour, white, 3 tbsp
    * Red Wine, 2 cups (preferably merlot or pinot noir)
    * Beef broth, 3 cups (if you prefer less broth, use 1 can)
    * Tomato Paste, 3 tbsp
    * Brown Sugar, 1 tbsp packed
    * Baby Carrots, raw, 20 medium
    * 1 Bay Leaf
    * 1 sprig fresh Rosemary
    * 1/8 tsp freshly ground pepper
