    1 small yellow onion, diced small
    1 greeen bell pepper (we used yellow)
    2 ribs celery thinly sliced
    4 cloves minced garlic
    2 bay leaves
    2 tsp paprika
    1/2 tsp cayenne
    1 tsp dried thyme
    1 tsp dried oregano
    1 tsp salt
    2 cups vegetable broth
    1 (28oz) can whole/diced tomatoes
    1 1/2 lbs butternut squash, cut into 3/4-inch chunks
    1/2 cut white basmati rice
    1 (15oz) can kidney beans drained and rinsed
