    6 cups fresh chopped vegetables (I used broccoli, cauliflower, asparagus, yellow squash, bell peppers, cherry tomatoes)
    1/4 cup olive oil, divided
    1/4 teaspoon salt
    1/4 teaspoon coarsely ground black pepper
    1/2 tablespoon lemon juice
    1 tablespoon Italian seasoning
    1 tablespoon butter
    1/4 large yellow onion, thinly sliced
    2 cloves garlic, thinly sliced
    1/3 cup chopped fresh basil leaves
    1/3 cup chopped fresh parsley
    3 tablespoons balsamic vinegar
    1/2 cup grated Romano cheese
