Ingredients

    Cake:
    *1 cup whole-wheat flour
    *1 cup white all-purpose flour
    *1 teaspoon baking soda
    *1 teaspoon baking powder
    *1 cup dark brown sugar
    *1/2 teaspoon salt
    *1 teaspoon cinnamon
    *1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
    *1/2 teaspoon ground allspice
    *1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
    *1 cup canned pumpkin puree
    *1/2 cup unsweetened applesauce
    *1 teaspoon maple syrup (I substituted dark Karo syrup.)
    *1 teaspoon honey (Again, I substituted dark Karo syrup.)
    *1 cup low-fat buttermilk

    Frosting:
    *4 ounces fat-free cream cheese
    *3 tablespoons confectioners' sugar
    *1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
