- Pour 1 1/4 C. water over 1 cup quick oatmeal
Cream: 1/2 cup sugar
1 1/2 cup sugar sub
1/4 cup shortening
1/4 cup applesauce
2 eggs
Add: 1 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1 tsp. vanilla
Add oat mixture; then add 1 1/3 cups flour
1 tsp soda and beat
Bake at 350 30 to 35 minutes. 9 X 13 pan
