Chicken Curry For The Crockpot

Ingredients

    1.2kg boneless, skinless chicken thighs
    4 large onions, chopped
    6 cloves garlic, crushed
    220g Greek yogurt
    1 tblsp olive oil
    2 tblsp butter (or more oil)
    1 inch piece of ginger root, peeled and grated
    3 inch cinnamon stick
    6 whole cloves
    4 cardamom pods
    1 tblsp whole cumin seeds
    2 bay leaves
    1 tsp turmeric
    1.5 tsp cayenne pepper (or less, if you prefer curry milder)
    1 tblsp ground cumin
