    1/2 cup packed brown sugar
    1/4 cup dark corn syrup
    1 1/2 cups pecan halves
    1 pkg. (18 1/4 oz.) butter pecan cake mix (Betty Crocker Super Moist cake mix)
    1 cup reduced-fat sour cream
    1/3 cup unsweetened applesauce
    2 eggs
    2 egg whites
    1 tsp. vanilla extract
