Buttermilk Ice Cream

Ingredients

    2 c low fat buttermilk
    1 c sugar/water mixture (1 c water, 1 c sugar,
    1 tbsp light corn syrup over med heat till
    sugar dissolves/low simmer) I triple this &
    keep leftover in frig for addt'l batches.
    dash of salt
    fruit, chopped (frozen cherries; peaches; lemon or lime rind & juice; pineapple, etc)
    Flavorings (vanilla & almond extract for cherry & peach; for pineapple: coconut & maybe dash of liquor) Problem w/pineapple ice cream. Have to use frig freezer to really freeze.
