    1 T Oil
    1 chopped Onion
    1 clove Garlic
    4 c boiling Water
    2 t Salt
    1 T Lemon Juice
    1 t Sugar
    1 t Worcestershire sauce
    1/2 t Pepper
    1/2 t Paprika
    1 Bay leaf
    1/4 t Allspice
    6 Carrots, cubed
    4 Potatoes, cubed
    4 slices Turnip, cubed

    DUMPLINGS
    1 1/4 C WW Flour
    1 1/4 t baking powder
    1 t salt
    1/2 c milk, more or less to make a soft dough
