4 med. granny smith apples, cored, peeled and sliced thin
4 med haralson apples, cored, peeled and sliced thin (bought at target)
1/2 cup plus 2 tbs white sugar
1/2 cup brown sugar
4-5 tbs all purpose flour
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
1/4 teaspoon ground clove
Pinch of salt
1/2 lemon, squeezed
5-6 tbs evaporated milk, for brushing
3 tablespoons ,or more to taste ,Caramel ice cream topping (optional)
