- 1 Tbsp. Baking soda
- 2Â 1/2 tsp Grnd cinnamon
- 1 tsp Grnd nutmeg
- 1 tsp Grnd allspice
- 1/2 tsp Grnd cardamom
- 1/2 tsp Grnd cloves
- 1 tsp Salt
- 1Â 1/2 c. Buttermilk
- 1Â 1/2 c. Sugar
- 1/4 c. Unsalted butter
- 1/2 c. Armagnac or possibly Cognac
- 2 Tbsp. Light corn syrup
- 2 Tbsp. Fresh lemon juice
