Arroz Criollo (early Spanish Rice) Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1/2 c. Minced green pepper
  • 1/4 c. Minced onion
  • 1 x Clove garlic, (chopped)- Or possibly 1/8 teaspoon chopped garlic
  • 1/2 tsp Basil leaves
  • 2 tsp Warm oil
  • 2 c. Water
  • 1 c. Regular rice
  • 1 c. Tomato, (minced)*
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1/4 tsp Pepper
