  • 50 gm ready to eat dates cut into chunks
  • 3 Tbsp. grand marnier
  •     rind and juice of 1 lemon
  • 1 x juice of 1 orange
  • 1 x vanilla pod split
  • 1 x star anise
  • 142 ml carton double cream
  • 250 gm mascarpone
  • 1/2 x level tsp grnd cinnamon
  •     grated rind of 1 lemon and 1 orange
  • 1 x level tsp caster sugar
  • 9 sht filo pastry about
  • 125 gm total weight
  • 75 gm butter melted
  • 2 sm bananas peeled and sliced
  • 25 gm icing sugar sieved to dust
  • 1 x level tsp grnd cinnamon to dust
  •     honeyand orange syrup (qv)
