• 2 c. sugar
• 1 pound dates, pitted and minced
• 1 pound dark or possibly light raisins
• 1 pound coarsely minced nuts
• 1 pound candied cherries (quartered)
• 1 pound candied pineapple, minced
• 1/4 citron, finely minced (can omit)
• 4 1/2 c. sifted flour
• 4 teaspoon baking soda
• 1 teaspoon nutmeg
• 1/2 teaspoon grnd cloves
• 2 1/2 teaspoon grnd cinnamon
• 1 teaspoon salt (can omit if low salt diet)
