Judy Rosenberg's Chocolate Fruitcake Recipe

Ingredients

  • 2 c. Minced mixed dry fruits,
  •     Such as -- apricots
  •     Dates, prunes, pears &
  •     Raisins
  • 6 Tbsp. Grand Marnier or possibly other
  •     Orange liqueur
  • 2 Tbsp. Cognac
  • 3 ounce Unsweetened chocolate
  • 1/2 c. +1 Tablespoons
  • 1/2 tsp Baking pwdr
  • 8 Tbsp. (1 stick) unsalted butter --
  •     At room temperature
  • 1 c. Sugar
  • 3 lrg Large eggs -- at room temperature
  • 1/2 c. Minced walnuts, almonds or possibly
  •     Pecans
  • 1/4 c. Cognac for brushing the
  •     Cake
  •     All-purpose flour
