Canape Butters Recipe

  • 1 c. Chopped cooked shrimp
  • 1/4 tsp Salt
  •     Dash paprika
  • 1 Tbsp. Lemon juice.

  • 4 dsh Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 c. Butter
  • 1/2 c. Chopped anchovies or possibly 4 tbsp. anchovy paste
  • 2 tsp Lemon juice
  • 4 dsh onion juice
  •     Variations: Substitute herring,bloaters,crawfish, lobster,smoked salmon, whitefish or possibly sardines for the anchovies
  • 1/2 c. Butter
  • 1/4 c. Grated horseradish
  • 1/2 c. Butter
  • 1/4 c. Prepared mustard
  • 1/2 c. Butter
  • 1/4 lb Cooked ham
  • 1 x Hard-cooked Large eggs, minced
  •     Dash pepper
  • 1/2 c. Butter
  • 4 x Hard-cooked egg yolks
  •     Few grains cayenne
  • 6 dsh Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 c. Butter
  • 1/4 c. Grated Parmesan cheese or possibly 1/2 ounce. Roquefort or possibly 1/2 c snappy cheese spread
  • 1/2 c. Butter
  • 1/4 c. Mashed pimiento
  • 2 tsp Indian relish, liquid removed
  • 1/4 c. Butter
  • 2 Tbsp. Minced olives
  • 1/4 tsp Lemon juice
  • 1/4 c. Butter
  • 2 Tbsp. Chili sauce, liquid removed
