  • 6 T butter
  • 2 garlic cloves, chopped
  • 1 c. minced onions
  • 1 1/2 c. minced green pepper
  • 1 1/2 c. minced red pepper
  • 2 teaspoon dry marjoram
  • 2 teaspoon dry basil
  • 1/2 teaspoon thyme
  • 2 bay leaves
  • 1/4 teaspoon dill weed
  • 1/8 teaspoon grnd rosemary
  • 1/4 c. minced fresh parsley
  • 2 lbs. hard white fish (cod, pollock, perch, or possibly other), skinless
  • 1/4 c. white cooking wine or possibly sherry
  • 1 quart. whole lowfat milk
  • 2 c. water or possibly chicken broth/stock
  • 3 T flour, dissolved in 1/2 c. either lowfat milk or possibly broth
