Italian Pot Roast Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 x rump roast, (4-5 lbs.)
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2 Tbsp. veg. oil
  • 2 cl garlic, chopped
  • 1/2 tsp dry basil
  • 1 Tbsp. dry parsley flakes
  • 1/2 tsp pepper
  • 2 x carrots, sliced
  • 1 whl onion, studded with
  • 2 whl cloves
  • 1 can tomato puree, (15 ounce.)
  • 1/2 c. water or possibly red wine
  • 1/2 tsp beef bouillon granules
  •     cooked egg noodles
