Ingredients

2 cups whole-wheat pastry flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
teaspoon cinnamon
1 cup low-fat plain yogurt or soy yogurt
1 cup low-fat milk, rice milk, or 1 cup very thinly-sliced peeled apple - (heaping)
2 tablespoons sliced almonds (optional)
Cooking oil spray as needed
(or nonhydrogenated margarine)
Applesauce and/or maple syrup for serving
Extra cinnamon for dusting
