Apple Charlotte With Thyme Custard


Ingredients For the charlottes
  • 8 braeburn apples

  • 60g/2oz caster sugar

  • squeeze lemon juice

  • 3 tbsp water

  • 150g/5oz butter

  • 10 slices bread, crusts removed

For the custard
  • 6 free-range egg yolks

  • 75g/3oz caster sugar

  • 200ml/7fl oz double cream

  • 200ml/7fl oz full-fat milk

  • 2 sprigs fresh thyme


Serve A Wonderful Hot British Dessert With Thyme-infused Custard.
