  • 1 package active dry yeast
  • 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 4 large eggs
  • 2/3 cup unsalted butter, room temperature, plus melted butter for the mold
  • 1 1/2 quarts berries (such as strawberries, blackberrries, or raspberries)
  • 3 cups fruity red wine (such as Lambrusco, Merlot, or Gamay)
  • 1 1/2 cups sugar
