Almond Amaretto Tart Shells


Makes eight 4-inch tart shells

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/3 cup finely ground blanched almonds
  • 2 tablespoons finely ground amaretti cookies
  • 12 tablespoons unsalted butter, cut into 1-inch cubes, softened but still cold
  • 1/3 cup plus 1 tablespoon confectioners' sugar
  • 1 large egg yolk
  • 1 tablespoon heavy cream
  • 1 tablespoon amaretto liqueur
