Pecan and pumpkin pie

Ingredients

For the pastry

  • 180 g plain flour
  • tsp salt
  • 120 g chilled butter, chopped
  • 3 tbsp iced water
For the pecan filling

  • 2 eggs
  • 125 ml pure maple syrup
  • 100 g brown sugar
  • tsp vanilla extract
  • tsp salt
  • 150 g pecans, toasted and chopped, plus extra for decoration
For the pumpkin filling

  • 3 eggs, beaten
  • 425 g can pumpkin puree
  • 150 g brown sugar
  • tsp ground allspice
  • 2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 2 tsp ground ginger
  • tsp salt
  • 250 ml single cream
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
To serve

  • whipped cream
  • vanilla ice cream
