Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups milk
  • 3 large eggs, yolks and whites separated, yolks into a medium bowl, whites into a medium bowl
  • 1 tablespoon freshly grated tangerine peel
  • 1/3 cup fresh tangerine juice
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter or margarine, melted
  • 2/3 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • Garnish: Candied citrus peel (see note)
