Chocolate Pistachio Wreath Bread

Ingredients

  • 3-1/2 to 4-1/2 cups  all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup  warm milk (105 degrees F to 115 degrees F)
  • 2 tsp.  sugar
  • 1 pkg.  active dry yeast
  • 2   eggs
  • 1/2 cup  sugar
  • 1/3 cup  unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/3 cup  finely chopped pistachio nuts or almonds
  • 2 tsp.  finely shredded orange peel (optional)
  • 3/4 tsp.  salt
  • 1/3 cup  butter, cut into small pieces and softened
  • 1   egg, lightly beaten
  • 1 Tbsp.  milk
  •   Chocolate Icing (recipe below)
  •   Chopped pistachio nuts (optional)
