Rustic Pear-cranberry Tart

Ingredients

  • 2 medium  pears, peeled and sliced
  • 1/2 cup  dried cranberries
  • 1 teaspoon  orange zest
  • 2 tablespoons  freshly squeezed orange juice
  • 1/2 cup  sugar
  • 1/4 cup  all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon  cinnamon
  • 1/8 teaspoon  ground ginger
  • 1 pinch of  salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon  cornmeal
  • 1/2 (15-ounce) package  refrigerated piecrust (1 sheet)
  • 1 tablespoon  butter, cut into pieces
